Hey Team,

Next week is the end of the regular season, so I just wanted to go over what that might look like for us.

We have our last regular season game next Wednesday (August 10th) at 6:00pm. As things stand, we are currently in 6th place with 14 points, but the 5th and 7th places teams have 15 and 13 points, respectively, so there are a few different scenarios that could affect where we land at the end of the regular season.

If we place in 6th position or higher, our playoff spot is guaranteed and our next match will be a quarter-final game on August 17th (time TBD). A win next week would guarantee this.

A tie or a loss next week could bump us down to 7th place, which would mean that our playoff spot is not guaranteed, and we will have to play on Friday of next week (August 12th) in order to secure our playoff spot. If we win the Friday game, we advance to the quarter-finals, and if we lose, then that will be our last game of the season. It is important to note that, starting Friday, all games are elimination games, so a win means we advance to play the following Wednesday, and a loss means we’re out.

I know this is a lot to take in, so the main points you need to know are:

• Last regular season game on Wednesday (6:00pm). A win will catapult us to the playoffs.
• Be prepared for a game on Friday (7:00pm) of next week.

As always, please indicate your attendance for next Wednesday as soon as possible!

Just a quick email to remind you all that the GAME is at 7.10 this week.

What would be great is to see that hunger for a goal that we saw in the last half of the game last week.
We all know we are super talented and we just need to keep the communication up and play the ball on the ground.

Hey cuties!

I’m coming at you with a few items this week, so get comfy.

As always, a reminder of our game on Wednesday. This week we’re on at 7:10pm, so let’s try to arrive by 6:40pm so we can get properly warmed up. We’ve been playing some stellar soccer these last few weeks, so I’m very excited for another game with you all. If you haven’t indicated your attendance yet, please do so ASAP either on TeamPages, WhatsApp, a reply to this email, carrier pigeon, etc. You get it :)

The weekly OFK practice is being hosted by the handsome and modest captains of Team MASC, and we’d love to see you all there. Practice runs from 6-8pm on the East Field, and if you can’t make the whole thing, you’re more than welcome to show up late, leave early, and participate at your leisure. Speaking of leisure, practice will be followed by a Team MASC social at the Boxcar. If you can’t make practice, we’d still love to see your beautiful face afterwards. If you can’t make it, no worries, this won’t be our last social.

The OFK T-Dance is coming up on Sunday, June 26th. Tickets will be available from Laura at the field starting tomorrow for $10, and include an Absolute drink and a burger. Not only is this one of OFK’s biggest fundraisers of the season, it’s also one of the funnest events. The T-Dance will be held at the Junction, and tickets are not limited to OFK members, so feel free to bring your friends, family, lovers, coworkers, etc.

In more event related news, save the dates for the Annual OFK Tournament (Saturday, July 16th), the Whitecaps Pride Game (Saturday, July 23rd), and OFK’s End of Season Banquet (Saturday, September 10th). More info on these events to come.
